Neacșu's Library from Câmpulung

       This project is a way to celebrate 500 years since the first document in Romanian was written (Neacșu's letter from Câmpulung). The site, as the title says, is the town of Câmpulung Muscel, one of the oldest settlements in Wallachia and its first capital.

     With such a meaningful context to the location, the design for this proposal is following three principles:

       a. The use of local materials (Albești stone);

       b. Care for the existing building (which is a historical monument) leaving the rear facades visible at street level;

       c. Homogeneity between old and new
